Love these posts of yours Shep. I find myself looking at the individual photos with a fascination. How they are put together as an orchestra set up with other instruments. I wonder then at the resulting sounds achieved.
I thought it would be nice to look at, at least, one of the bands involved. Chose Korumburra (Victoria) and Googled. Of course I initially didn’t add the harmonica band on the end. So saw the beautiful images of the area. When I did add the band addition words, in images, your name was all over the photograph uploads/search. Nice to see that. Cheers again Shep for the insights as to how loved your blessed harp is to other enthusiastic harpists. And over the multitude of consistent decades too. The Harp. No flash in the pan was/is it. 😊
It’s a fine attribute to recognise past warriors of our musical heritage Shep. Where would we be without their contributions. So pleased you record this information. If I hadn’t bought a second hand chromatic harp from that charity shop…….I wouldn’t have looked here on WP for info of how to use it and never found your site. Mind you! I still can’t blow a tune into it. Takes a person with a specific special skill. 😊 Cheers and good fortune Shep.

Cheers Gray. Nice to go back and recognise those before us. The bands might not be with us, but the battlers instrument is a survivor. S
