  1. Found the Des’ Sketch blog at bottom of this read too Shep. Love it when you go into that amount of detail and conversation. This blog? Some of those harmonicas are fierce sizes. I reckon a hunt tomorrow to find some samples musically of how those large bass ones sound in a trio will be interesting. Cheers.

      1. Just went to YouTube and found a deconstructed isolation video of fool on the hill. Looks like George playing the bass harp. John is opposite blowing maybe a harp too. It’s a still photo so can’t quite make it out. Great this though, because of the isolation aspect and hearing the sound clearly. Amazing song. I love this D6 chord opener and the subsequent minors used around this time. I’ll look at more tomorrow Shep. Brilliant. Cheers.

  2. How did the Fab Four get in with the Harmonica Trios??
But seriously, the number 3 is one of my favourite numbers – triangles are the strongest construction and 3 seems to be an indicator of ‘creativity, communication, optimism, and curiosity’ within numerology. Interesting!
Happy New Month to you too HRH.

    1. Where do I begin? Trio plus one – Stu Hunter’s Electrachords! You have given four indicators, maybe should have stuck with three c’s. I’m not a harmonica royal highness btw. HNM to you too and thanks for your amusing comment Mrs Anon. HRR

  3. I used to attend Des Bettany’s trio rehearsals every week back in the 80s. I was also in regular contact with Kim Van Dokkum and Stu Hunter back in the day.
