Hello Riff Raffers,
Sad news. Tony Joe White, the ‘Swamp King’ has passed away. An amazing songwriter with a unique deep and raw vocal. He was an accomplished harp man, who had this impeccable ability of putting the right riff in the right song in the right place.
R.I.P Tony.
I’m posting a cover of his amazing Polk Salad Annie performed by Pete Laffy and The King Bees at 3MDR’s 2006 Big Gig. Sadly also Pete is no longer with us. Some of you Raffers will remember Pete from Mondo Rock.
